SRINAGAR: Fiza Nazir, the rising martial arts star from the Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar, has made history by clinching the gold medal in the senior women’s -56.7 kg weight category at the Asian MMA Championship 2023 (IMMMAF), hosted in Bahrain.
Fiza Nazir’s remarkable victory at the prestigious championship not only brought pride to her home state but also signified a groundbreaking moment in her flourishing career.
“I am very happy after winning the gold medal,” Fiza said. “I trained myself for 8 hours a day to achieve the goal. My message to the budding talent of Kashmir is to always be disciplined, which helps them achieve success.”
Furthermore, she appealed to the youngsters to stay away from drugs and indulge in sports activities where they can showcase their skills and talent and make their families as well as the entire nation proud.
