The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday welcomed the extension of the North East Industrial Package to the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The spokesman said that Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President KCC&I stated that the announcement was an important step for attracting investment in the industrial sector and boosting local industrial growth. The president Sheikh Ashiq Ahmed said that KCC&I had been demanding the extension of this package to our State as, coupled with other meaningful interventions by the Government, local industry would have some advantages for marketing and promotion of their products.
Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad also thanked K K Sharma, Hon’ble Advisor to HE The Governor and Mr BVR Subramanyam, Chief Secretary, Government of Jammu and Kashmir for the sustained efforts put in by them for getting this package extended to the State.
The president hoped that local entrepreneurs would take advantage of the package to generate employment and growth opportunities for the business community.
