Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies (KCSDS) has paid glorious tributes to Agha Shahid Ali on his death anniversary.

In a meeting chaired by Prof. Hameedah Nayeem, the members said that Agha’s poetry has touched the depths of our hearts by mirroring the plight of Kashmiris for the world community.

“What better expression there could be of the absence of the wholesome selfhood or of the lack of political identity than the title of the collection of poems he has written on Kashmir “Country without Post office” which tells the whole story of what is wrong with Kashmir,” she said and further added that it is not only the content but the poetic brilliance and uniqueness of his style that has endeared him to millions of people all over the world.
