Government Thursday made it clear that it will not allow Ahamaddiya’s to hold any “Peace Conference” in Srinagar city on October 10 (Saturday).

District Development Commissioner Srinagar Mushtaq Ahmed Shah told CNS that an Ahmadiya organization “Ahmadiyya Jama’at Srinagar” has written a formal letter to them seeking permission for holding a “Peace Conference in Srinagar on October 10. “Keeping the sentiments of Muslims in view we have decided not to allow this Conference in Srinagar. The matter is very sensitive and we have already taken a final decision in this regard and have informed the organizers that they will not be permitted to allow any kind of conference in Srinagar,” DC Srinagar said.

He added, “some people have confusion that Ahmaddiyas will be permitted to hold this conference which is not true. We want to inform people that we have not allowed the organizers to hold this conference in Srinagar,” he added.
