Speaking to reporters at Tulmulla, LG Sinha said, “The devotees have come in large numbers to attend the Mela Kheer Bhawani. This is a good sign, and this is the first time after April 22 that such a crowd has gathered at one place.”

Welcoming the pilgrims, the LG said the administration had made necessary arrangements. “The administration has made good arrangements for the mela. The work on Yatri Niwas is also underway,” he added.

On the upcoming annual Amarnath Yatra, which begins on July 3, Sinha said, “All preparations for the pilgrimage are complete. Security arrangements have also been finalised. I appeal to devotees from across the country to come and take Baba’s blessings.”

LG Sinha was speaking on the sidelines of his visit to the Mata Kheer Bhawani temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, on the occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, where he offered prayers and interacted with visiting devotees. (JKNS)
