SRINAGAR: Khyber Cement, one of Kashmir’s most trusted and socially conscious brands, has extended its support to a spirited team of 35 rowers from Jammu and Kashmir who are set to compete at the prestigious Federation Cup to be held from April 21 to 24, 2025, at Bhalswa Boat Club in New Delhi.

The team, comprising men, women and mixed contingents, was given a ceremonial flag-off on Sunday morning at Zabarwan Park, Boulevard Road. The event saw the presence of Tanvir Sadiq, MLA Zadibal, who hailed the determination and discipline of the young athletes. Representing Khyber Cement was Wasim Ahmed Khan, Chief of Sales and Customer Relations, whose attendance underscored the company’s growing role in fostering sporting excellence and community empowerment in the Valley.

The Federation Cup serves as a crucial qualifier for the 17th World Rowing Championship to be held in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany, from July 16 to 20, 2025. With this opportunity, the Kashmiri rowers are not only competing for national glory but also eyeing a berth at the global championship, making Khyber Cement’s support both timely and transformative.
