SRINAGAR: Khyber Cements, the largest cement brand in the Valley which released a new campaign this Eid has received an overwhelming response.
The campaign which has been conceptualised and executed by J Walter Thomson , the largest ad company in the country, consists of a 90 second commercials , print and outdoor media.
The ad film which has gone viral on social media is a montage of people, landscapes and homes and has some of the known achievers from different fields of life. These include famous painter Masood Hussain, cricketer Parvez Rasool, specially-abled cricketer Aamir Ali, footballer Mehraj-u-din Wadoo and folk singer Noor Muhammad. The film plays against a music track with a refrain “Jannat ko Jannat Banayein” and ends with a tagline “Aap aur Khyber Kashmir ki Mazboot Buniyaad”.
So far on Facebook the film has got about 6 lakh views and more than 2000 shares which according to Khyber is the largest ever for any ad in Kashmir.
“We are Kashmir born brand and we take a lot of pride in it. The ad reflects the aspirations and hopes of the people towards the place. like them we want to see a prosperous Kashmir and contribute towards it,” said Umar Tramboo, Director, Khyber industries.
Jaibeer Ahmad, Executive Business Director & VP, J.Walter Thomson says, ” The brand has its soul in Kashmir. the relationship between the brand, the people and the place is an emotional one which only a market leader can stake claim to. We have tried to capture that through this campaign.
However ruling coalition’s works minister Naeem Akhtar while sharing the video on facebook posted “one of the best campaigns around Kashmir that I have seen. Wish Umar Tramboo-Khyber had related it to his hospitality service rather than cement e Kashmir.”
