National Conference candidates, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and Qaiser Jamshed Lone Wednesday filed their nomination papers for the ensuing elections to Legislative Council before Secretary Legislative Assembly Mohammed Ramzan, who is the Returning Officer.
In the presence of the party General Secretary Ali Mohammed Sagar, MLA and Provincial President National Conference Jammu, Devender Singh Rana proposed the name of Kichloo while former minister and MLA Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi proposed Qaiser Jamshed’s candidature.
Earlier, Kichloo and Lone, while addressing party workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan expressed their gratitude to the party leadership for reposing their faith in them.
“We will work as foot-soldiers of National Conference by carrying forward the policies and programmes of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah’s mass movement,” they said.
They exuded confidence that the party will overcome all the challenges and remain in the forefront to espouse the just cause of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
