Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, Monday ordered an inquiry to find out the circumstances that led to the killing of the Sarpanch, even when he was provided security cover.
Sajjad visited Kalantra Payeen in district Baramulla to express condolence with the family of Javed Ahmad Wani,
visited Kalantra Payeen in district Baramulla to express condolences to the bereaved family of slain sarpanch and NC worker Javed Ahmad Wani, who was killed by unidentified gunman last evening.
Giving deadline of two days, Sajjad also directed DIG, north Kashmir to initiate strict action against the delinquent security personnel.
While expressing sympathies with the bereaved family, instructions were also issued to the district administration to process ex-gratia relief and job in favour of the next of kin of the deceased family.
Later, the Minister chaired a meeting of police and civil administration to review the overall law-and-order situation in the district.
Sajjad was accompanied by Provincial President, NC, Nasir Aslam Wani and District President, NC, Javed Ahmad Dar, besides senior civil and police officers.
