Hundreds of people including athletes of various events and school children participated in the pre-inauguration of the south Kashmir sporst festival that J&K police is organizing. The event was marked by cosco cricket match between SSP-II and DC-II, followed by Sqay demonstration by Gold Medalists from district Shopian, a statement issued by the police said.
World Kick Boxing champion Tajamul Islam was present as chief guest. Later, mementos and certificates were presented to participants of various events of South Kashmir Sports Festival 2016.
DC Shopian GM Dar and SSP Tahir Saleem Khan later presented cash award Rs 20,000 and memento to Tajamul Islam, and Rs 2500/ to each five winners of Gold medals at various national and international events of district Shopian.
