After the recent killing of youth in Baramulla, district administration has decided to establish police station in old town Baramulla, for better policing in the area apart from maintenance of law and order . This was stated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asghar Hassan Samoon
Known for fierce anti India protests, old Town Baramulla is believed to be no man’s land for the police.
To have police presence in area, the step is apparently believed to be taken, “I will soon convene a meeting in this regard. The Police station will be established as there is there is no presence of JK police across the cement bridge”, said Dr Samoon.
