Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Syed Javid Mujtaba Gillani Saturday confirmed that killing of the youth in Narbal could have been easily avoided but the forces deployed there violated Standard Operating Procedure and killed the youth. “We have been investigating the matter but I must tell you that whosoever were deployed there violated the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)” IGP Gillani told CNS adding that nobody will be allowed to take law in his own hands.
When asked whether it was CRPF who killed the youth, IGP said that only CRPF can’t be blamed for the killing. “I am telling you that all the forces who were deployed there are responsible and action would be initiated against them,” he said.
