Pradesh Congress Committee President G A Mir has expressed anguish over the killing of Suhail Amad Sofi due to firing by Police personnel at Narbal Saturday.
In a statement, while strongly condemning this firing incident by Police, Mir said Police personnel should not have opened fire. He said killing of civilians and innocent person is unacceptable and intolerable.
Mir according to statement termed this incident very unfortunate and asked the government to conduct an immediate probe into the incident, so that the police personnel involved, are brought to book and punished, as per law.
He also asked the Govt to provide free and full medical treatment to injured persons. While offering his condolences, he sympathized with the bereaved family.
