Incarcerated JKLF chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik Sunday strongly condemned the killing of innocent Gowhar Ahmad of Zainakote.
Gowhar was an engineering student and was killed when a tear gas shell hit his head late Saturday evening in HMT area.
Terming the loss of this bright young boy as heart breaking, Malik said, “this brutal killing is yet another ugly ‘gift’ of Mufti-Modi alliance to the people of Kashmir. Once again an innocent life has been taken and inquiry has been called but we want to ask these callous and shameless Pro-India politicians and rulers that what happened to inquiries about 2008 and 2010 killings. Has any killer until today been penalized?”
“These inquiries are actually meant to cover up the crimes of killer Indian forces and provide them a clean chit. PDP leaders who used to call for punishment of killer forces during 2010 to gain the sympathies of people have today after assuming power beaten all the records of oppression and callousness. Today they have turned into killers and are engaged in killing our dear ones,” Malik added.
Expressing solidarity with the family of slain Gowhar Ahmad, Malik prayed for their patience.
“It is worth to mention that JKLF chairman along with other JKLF leaders Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Mir Siraj ud Din, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Muhammad Amin Mugloo are still in police custody,” the JKLF statement said this evening. “Javed Ahmad Mir (APHC-m), Shabir Ahmad Dar (APHC, JK), Firdous Ahmad Shah (APHG-g)and Abdul Rashid Lone are also languishing in police station Kothi Bagh along with Malik.”
