‘No Package is Substitute to Our Rights,’ says Nayeem Khan

nayeem-khanSenior Hurriyat (g) leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front Chairperson, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, while paying homage to Gowhar Ahmad Dar of Zainakote, HMT said that Kashmiris are not sellable commodity.

“No package can be a substitute to freedom,” Khan said adding, “Kashmiris cannot sell the blood of Shaheed Gowhar and one lakh more martyrs to economic packages.”

He said, “Kashmiris too have a right to bear the fruits of development and they also know the importance of economic development in the present world however they also know that there can be no real development without freedom.”

“Money bags can lure those pro-India beggars who play the role of Jaffar and Mir Sadiq but not to the majority Muslims of Jammu Kashmir who term it insulting to affiliate themselves with India,” he said.

Reiterating his stand, Khan said, “India must shun its illogical stance on Kashmir so that this long standing dispute is resolved according to the wishes of the people. No formula and no package can work until and unless New Delhi accepts the disputed nature of Jammu Kashmir and rejects those power hungry politicians who continue to deceive it since last seven decades.”

“Unless and until India shuns its illogical stand on Kashmir dispute it will have to face resistance from Kashmiri freedom lovers,” Khan said adding, “the resistance movement has already passed on to the new generation which will take it forward in its own way.”
