Jammu Kashmir High Court Friday accepted and listed the review petition of former judge, Justice B A Kirmani regarding recent Talaaq verdict which has already created ripples in the socio religious organizations of Kashmir.
Sources said that High Court listed the review petition of Kirmani for a discussion on Monday, November 12, 2012.
Stating that he was not satisfied with the verdict, Justice B A Kirmani had filled a review petition in the State High Court.
Pertinent to mention that Justice Hasnain Masoodi of the J&K High Court recently ruled that Muslim man’s power to divorce his wife is not “unrestricted or unqualified”.
