Kishtwar Accident: Govt Announces Rs 1 Lakh To NoK Of Deceased, Rs 10,000 To Injured

Governmnet has announced Rs one lakh in favour of next of kin (NoK) of each deceased passenger as ex-gratia relief out of Chief Minister’s relief fund, whereas Rs 10,000 were paid to each injured passenger.

Meanwhile, N. N. Vohra, Governor, has expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives.

In a message, the Governor has conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery of all those injured in this accident.

The Governor has also reminded, yet again, the Police, Traffic and Transport departments to enforce effective measures to ensure against the recurrence of fatal accidents.

In his condolence message, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives lost in a tragic road accident on Sarthal-Gana road in Kishtwar district.

Omar has expressed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He has also prayed for early recovery of injured.

Minister of State for Home, Industries & commerce and Tourism, Sajad Ahmad has also expressed shock over the death of 4 passengers.

Kichloo on hearing about the accident immediately rushed to the spot and supervised the rescue operation.
