In an introduction meeting, MoS Home, Sajad Ahmad Kitchloo stressed upon the senior police officers to develop better police-public relations at the grass root level so that the problems and grievances of general public can be mitigated.
Sajad in his interaction with senior police officers in PCR Srinagar was briefed by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir S M Sahai regarding the overall security scenario in the valley.
He was also briefed about the security arrangements for the forth coming Republic Day functions at Bakhshi Stadium, Srinagar and all district headquarters of the valley by senior officers of police and security.
MoS Home reiterated his support and stressed upon the people friendly measures to be implemented on ground, for smooth conclusion of the Republic Day function. He also emphasized upon building better police public relations so that the problems and grievances of general public can be mitigated in a systematic manner, besides imbuing confidence among the public in police.
Later on the minister visited police station Safa Kadal. On his arrival he was given a Guard of Honor. He also interacted with the jawans and officers of the station.
