Kokernag Accident; Locals Hurt Over Silence Of Education Minister

People of Kandiwara, Kokernag area who have lost their kids in a tragic road accident the other day have expressed their shock over the silence of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, who also hold the ministry of education.

People of the area have expressed great concern saying, being Education Minister, Tara Chand was bound to make a condolence statement and visit the spot to get an assessment of the situation.

“We can’t expect such a casual and irresponsible behavior of a minister who is not only education minister but also Deputy Chief Minister of the state.” People of the area told local news agency KNS.

“Almost every one across the political spectrum, mainstream and separatists were moved by this tragedy, but we are hurt to see Education Minister not making even a single line statement.” added locals.

Despite repeated attempts by KNS, Tara Chand could not be reached for comments.

Pertinent to mention, at least 9 children died and 18 others were wounded when a school bus met an accident on Wednesday near Kokernag in South Kashmir.
