Terming the Kousar Nag Yatra a “deep conspiracy” against the majority people of Kashmir National Front chairman and Hurriyat (JK) leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan Monday said that giving tourism a religious colour is aimed at grabbing the lands in Kashmir so that Kashmiri Muslims are evicted from their motherland as Israel did with Palestinians.
During his continuous house arrest, Khan in a statement said, “the occupied forces are busy in grabbing our lands since decades together and now in order to give it a pace, Indian political leadership has taken the religious route,”. “India is exploiting Hinduism to provoke its citizens to swallow Kashmir,” Khan added.
“If Muslims talk of their faith they are being named as religious extremists but India is shamelessly using Hindu religion against Kashmiris and it announces so called Yatra’s only to grab more and more Kashmiri land and Hinduise our Kashmir,” Khan said.
He said that Kashmiris are known for their religious tolerance but India has started taking undue advantage of this spirit which is unacceptable. “We have come to know from reliable sources that India is planning the so called Hindu Yatras from more than a dozen places and the so called Kousar Nag Yatra is just a beginning which is going to threaten the ecology of the region,” Khan said adding “After failing to crush the common sentiment through brute force India has taken Hindu religion route to strengthen its occupation on Kashmir which is definitely to shaken the peaceful atmosphere.”
Nayeem said that India should have followed the advises of its own religious personality Swami Agnivesh but “New Delhi is trying everything to grab Kashmir so it is not listening to any sane voices.”
Nayeem Khan said that Kashmiris will not allow anybody to dislodge their coming generations from their own land so any so called Hindu Yatra with malicious designs and “occupational mindset” from anywhere will not be allowed, “come what may”.
Khan said that the pro-Indian politicians of Kashmir must shun the path of shielding India otherwise the nation and history will never forgive them.
The separatist leadership is equally responsible for the messy situation that is now being created in the valley. By grabbing land of the valley in the name of so called religious places by the govt of India will not deter kashmiri’s from the basic slogan. Had not the separatist group remained confined to open its own offices or Hurriyats instead of coming on a common platform with common agenda the situation would have been quite different …
