KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown In Kashmir Parts

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Budgam and Shopian districts will be affected due to scheduled shutdowns of transmission lines on August 18, 20, 23 and 27, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Monday.

According to KPDCL, the 33 kV Budgam SIDCO tapline will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 18, affecting power supply to Ompora, SIDCO, Housing Colony Ompora, Railway Station Budgam, NIFT and adjoining areas.

Similarly, the 33 kV Kanipora-Pinjoora line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 20, 23 and 27.

The shutdown will affect power supply to Town Arahama, Bongam, Pinjoora, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagar, Pahnoo, Zawoora, Shirmal, Mohanpora, Chowdrigund, Bemnipora and adjoining areas.

KPDCL said the shutdowns have been scheduled as part of the required work on the respective power lines.
