SRINAGAR: Several areas across north and central Kashmir will face scheduled power shutdowns on August 27, 29 and 31 due to maintenance and related works on various transmission lines and grid stations, according to the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL).
KPDCL said power supply to a large number of areas in Baramulla, Sopore, Gurez, Ganderbal and Budgam districts would remain affected during the specified hours.
The shutdown of the 480 MVA 220/132/33 KV Grid Station Delina Bank-I and Bank-II will affect power supply to Panzipora, Tarzoo, Hygam, Shair Colony, Arampora, Mahrajpora, Bugoo, Police Station, ADC Watlab, Hathlangoo, Warpora, Dooru, Shiva, Tujjar Sharief, Shrian, Nowpora, Mazbugh, Reban, Achabal, Doabgah, Ferozpora, Panzulla, Shutloo, Chakloo, Ladoora, Nadihal, Seer, PHE, Fruit Mandi, LIS, Dangiwachi, Hachipora, Hadipora, Watrigam, Safalpora, Ganpora, Seelu, Bomai, Rohama, Delina, Jetty, Railway, Chandoosa, Sultanpora, Sangrama, Kreeri, Wagoora, Kalantra, Hard-Ichloo and Sopore Town, among other adjoining areas.
The shutdown will also affect TSS Baramulla, Salamadbad, Uri, Bandi, Rampora, Noorkhah, Mohara, Peernia, Nowshera, Boniyar, Sheeri, Drangbal, Bagi-Islam, Baramulla Town, DC Office Baramulla, GMC Baramulla, Kanlibagh, MES, Malpora, Gantamulla, Magam, Mazhama, Kongamdara, Ahmedpora, Aripanthan, Khag, Beerwah, Arizal, Dhobiwan, Kunzer and adjoining areas from 10 am to 2:30 pm on August 29.
Meanwhile, power supply to Wanpora, Dawar, NHPC, Tragbal, Peerbaba, Kanzalwan, Razdantop and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on August 27 due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Potushai-Gurez line.
The shutdown of the 33 kV Badampora-Lar-Tulmulla line will affect Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm on August 27.
The same line, along with the 33 kV Badampora-Wangipora tapline, will remain under shutdown from 8 am to 2 pm on August 31, affecting Batwina, Zazna, Ahan, Nowgam, Wangipora, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal, Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer and other adjoining areas, besides the areas listed above.
Further, power supply to Shadipora, Trigam, Singhpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 27 and 31 due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Shadipora-HMT line.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan their electricity-dependent activities accordingly.
