KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Kashmir Parts

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Srinagar will remain affected for four hours on August 29 due to a scheduled shutdown of power transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Thursday.

According to KPDCL Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown of the 33 kV Pampore-Badamibagh line and the 33 kV Bone and Joint Tap line will be observed from 8 am to 12 noon.

During the shutdown, power supply to Sonwar, Shivpora, Panthachowk, Batwara, WSS Tangnar, Summerbugh, Government Press, GB Pant Hospital, Baghat, Natipora, Pamposh Colony and adjoining areas will be affected.

The shutdown has been scheduled to facilitate maintenance-related work on the power infrastructure, KPDCL said.
