SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department on Thursday ordered transfers and postings of 14 police officers, including senior IPS officers, with immediate effect.
According to Government Order No. 438-Home of 2026, issued on August 27, M K Sinha, IPS, ADG Headquarters, has been transferred and posted as ADG CID J&K, replacing Nitish Kumar, IPS.
Nitish Kumar has been posted as ADG Armed Police J&K against an available vacancy.
Uttam Chand, IPS, IGP Police Operations and Services, Police Headquarters, has been transferred and posted as IGP Railways, J&K, replacing Vivek Gupta. He will also continue to hold the additional charge of IGP Police Operations and Services, Police Headquarters, till further orders.
Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, IG Jammu Zone, has been transferred and posted as IG Headquarters, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Sujit Kumar, IPS, IG Security J&K, has been posted as IG Kashmir Zone against an available vacancy, while Vivek Gupta has been transferred from IGP Railways and posted as IG Security J&K.
Tejinder Singh, IPS, IG CID J&K, has been transferred and posted as IG Jammu Zone, replacing Bhim Sen Tuti.
Shakti Kumar Pathak, IPS, has been designated as Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Mubassir Latifi Ameer, IPS, DIG Personnel, Police Headquarters, who was holding additional charge of DIG Training, PHQ, has been transferred and posted as DIG IR Kashmir against an available vacancy.
Sahil Sarangal, IPS, SSP Handwara, has been transferred and posted as SSP Pulwama against an available vacancy.
Sunny Gupta, IPS, Additional SP Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as SSP Kishtwar, replacing Naresh Singh.
Tahir Saleem Khan, JKPS, SO to IG Kashmir Zone, has been transferred and posted as SSP Handwara, replacing Sahil Sarangal.
Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, JKPS, SSP SCW Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as SO to IG Kashmir Zone, replacing Tahir Saleem Khan.
Naresh Singh, JKPS, SSP Kishtwar, has been transferred and posted as SSP Rajouri against an available vacancy.
