KPDCL Announces Power Shutdowns Across Several Kashmir Areas

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Kashmir will remain affected on different dates between August 30 and September 7 due to scheduled shutdowns of multiple 33 kV lines, the Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has informed.

The shutdown of the 33 kV Tral-1st (Tapline Chewa) will affect power supply to Chewa, Tral Bala, Bajwani, Khalil, Bathnoor, Hayina and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm on August 30, 2026.

Similarly, the 33 kV Pinjura line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 30, September 3 and September 7, affecting Town Aarhama, Bongam, Pinjura, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Shirmal, Bemnipora and adjoining areas.

The shutdown of the 33 kV Pampore-BK Pora line will affect power supply to BK Pora, Khanda, Chattargam, Kenihama, Summerbugh, Railway Station, Shalina, Wagoora, Wadapora, Aribagh, Checkpora and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm on September 1 and 5.

Power supply to Zainapora, Chitragam, Awneera, Reban, Aglar, Sugan, Turkawangam, Nagbal and adjoining areas will be affected from 11 am to 4 pm on August 31 and September 2 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Lassipora-Reshipora line.

The 33 kV Lassipora-Landoora line shutdown during the same hours and dates will affect Landoora, Hermain, Hajipora, Hotline, Hermain Hospital, Mantribugh, Chakoora, Wachi, Aglar, Frisal, Mooman and adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam line scheduled from 9 am to 3 pm on September 6 will affect Budgam, Sabdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Town, Ompora, SIDCO Housing Colony, Railway Station, Budgam, NIFT and adjoining areas.

The KPDCL has also informed that the shutdown of the 33 kV GIS-BAMK line, scheduled for August 30, has been cancelled.
