KPDCL Announces Power Shutdowns for Line Upgradation in Multiple Areas

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas to facilitate upgradation and stabilisation of key 33 KV lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the 33 KV Alasteng–Nagbal line will remain shut on April 10, 15 and 17 , from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. As a result, the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Alasteng, Nagbal, Gadoora and Tulbagh will remain off. Power supply will be affected in Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fetehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Shairpathri and adjoining areas.

Additionally, the 33 KV Alasteng–Zakura line (under STD-1st) will also be shut on April 17 , from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. During this period, the Receiving Stations at Gulabagh, Ahmad Nagar and Umarhair will remain off, impacting power supply in Pandach, Pathan Colony, Gulabagh Mir Mohalla, Umarhair, Nowbugh, Ahmad Nagar, 90ft Road, Khalmullah and surrounding areas.

In a similar exercise, shutdowns are scheduled for the 33 KV Pampore–SIDCO line on April 10 and 13 , from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. The Receiving Stations at IE Khrew, dedicated installations and Cement Plants will remain off, affecting power supply to IE Khrew and the industrial units.

Moreover, the 33 KV Pampore–Pampore line will also be shut on the same dates and during the same hours. Receiving Stations at Pampore-I and Pampore-II will be off, resulting in power disruptions in Pampore, Khadermoh, Tenagan, Zewan and nearby areas.

The KPDCL has urged the public to bear with the inconvenience during the maintenance period.
