KPDCL Announces Power Shutdowns In Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply will remain disrupted in several areas of Srinagar, Kulgam and Baramulla districts on different dates between August 5 and 10 due to scheduled maintenance works on various 33 kV transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Tuesday.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina-Fateh Kadal and 33 kV Bemina-Barbarshah lines will be carried out from 8 am to 2 pm on August 5 and August 8. The outage will affect KK Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Bishembarnagar, Naisarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basantbagh, Car Parking, Maisuma and adjoining areas.

Power supply will also remain affected in Qaimoh, Khudwani, Redwani, Rampora, Matalhama and nearby areas from 8 am to 2 pm on August 6 and August 8 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Wanpoh-Qaimoh line.

In Baramulla district, electricity supply to Wagoora, Kawcheck, Mangam, Watergam, Kreeri, Saloosa, Hospital, Sangrama, Nowpora, Boosu, Cold Store and adjoining areas will remain suspended from 9 am to 2 pm on August 8 owing to maintenance on the 33 kV Delina-Wagoora line.

Another shutdown of the 33 kV Ahmadpora-Kongamdara line has been scheduled from 9 am to 2 pm on August 10, affecting Kongamdara, Kunzer, Dhobiwan, Ahmadpora, Goom, Kralweth, Chichilora and nearby areas.

KPDCL advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled power interruptions.
