KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various areas of the Valley over the next few days to facilitate maintenance work.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, a power shutdown of the 33 KV KP Bagh line (Tapline to Modern Hospital) will be observed on  October 25, 2025, affecting power supply to Watali Point and the Rajbagh Dewatering Station from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Similarly, the 33 KV GIS Tengpora–Exhibition (Cargo Portion) line will remain shut on October 26, disrupting power to Batamaloo, Firdousabad, Magermal Bagh, the DC Office, Chief Office, Baranpather, and adjoining areas between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM.

The 33 KV Machil Tapline will undergo shutdown on October 27, affecting power supply to Machil, Chountiwari, Dudi, Rig Bala/Payeen, and nearby areas from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The 33 KV Tangmarg–Gulmarg line will also be shut down on October 27 and 29, impacting Gulmarg, Base Station, Khyber Resort, Cable Car, Babareshi, Chunthpathri, Warapora, and adjoining areas during the same hours.

Additionally, a shutdown of the 33 KV Sharifabad–Narbal line is scheduled for October 28, due to which Narbal and Sanoor receiving stations will remain off, affecting power supply to Narbal, Kawoosa, Mazhama, Sozeith, Lawaypora, Malpora, Radbugh, Railway Station Mazhama, and adjoining localities from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

The 33 KV Khumriyal line will remain shut on October 29, disrupting supply to Sogam, Krusen, Diver, Lalpora, and surrounding areas from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, the Chief Engineer further added.
