KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across North Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns for various areas in April  due to ongoing construction, utility shifting, and maintenance work.

On April 15, power supply will be disrupted between 09:30 AM and 03:30 PM due to the shutdown of the 33KV Amargarh Watergam line for the construction and widening of a two-lane road by BEACON. The affected areas include Ganapora, Hachipora, Watergam, Hadipora, Safalpora, and adjoining regions.

A shutdown of the 33KV Handwara-HOT line is planned on April 14 from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM for the shifting of utilities by BEACON near Kupwara Chowkibal Bypass. This will impact power supply to Handwara, Chogul, Pohrupeth, and surrounding areas.

On April 8, power supply will be interrupted from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM due to the installation of a new 6.3 MVA power transformer. The shutdown of the 33KV Bandipora line will affect Tujjar, Harwan, Tujjar Shrine, and nearby areas.

A shutdown of the 33KV SIDCO line will occur on April 10 from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM for the replacement and repair of the 1500 mm nominal diameter rising and corridor for lift irrigation in Rafiabad. This will result in power loss to Rohama Chakloo and adjoining areas.

Additionally, a shutdown of the 33KV Nagam Hafroo Tap line is scheduled for April 7 and 10 from 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM to facilitate the laying of conductor on 11KV fixtures mounted on 33KV poles between Narpora and Chudrigund. Power supply to Hafroo, Lolipora, Watkul, Darwan, Shopora, and nearby areas will be affected.
