SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled shutdowns of various 33KV power lines across North Kashmir to facilitate branch cutting and stabilisation works.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdowns will affect multiple receiving stations and result in power supply disruptions across several areas on specific dates between May 4 and May 27.
The 33KV Sopore line will be shut down on May 4 and May 6, from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM, impacting the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Sopore-I and Sadiq Colony. Power supply to Sopore, Sadiq Colony and adjoining areas will remain affected during the shutdown period.
The 33KV Nowpora line will remain shut on May 7, 10 and 13, affecting power supply to Nowpora, Seelo, Achbal, Bomai and surrounding areas. Receiving stations at Nowpora, Seelo, Achbal and Bomai will be offline from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Shutdown of the 33KV Bandipora line is scheduled for May 12, 15 and 17, with power outages from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM at Watlab, Tujjar, Dooru and adjoining areas. Receiving stations at Watlab, Tujjar and Dooru will be affected.
The 33KV Arampora line will undergo shutdown on May 20, 24 and 27, disrupting power to Arampora, Panzipora, Bugoo, Shair Colony, Ogmuna and adjacent areas during the same hours. Receiving stations at Arampora, Panzipora, Bugoo and Shair Colony will remain off.
KPDCL has urged residents to make necessary arrangements and extended regret for the inconvenience.
