The Postgraduate Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Technology has been provided financial assistance to the tune of Rs 75 lac by University Grants Commission (UGC) under its Special Assistance Programme (SAP) for carrying out research in the trust areas Analog Signal Processing, Wireless Communications and Network Security.

As per a statement Prof N A Shah, an eminent researcher and Head, PG Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Technology while commenting on the achievements of the Department has said, “It is patently the recognition by the Apex academic body of the country regarding conduct of advanced research at the Department. Besides, the Department has received grants for two major and five minor research projects from UGC. Overall an amount of about Rs 107 lac has been mobilized under these projects.”

“All this has been possible due to the tireless efforts by young and energetic faculty of the Department besides Technical Staff. The faculty really deserve applauds for working so zealously, notwithstanding their heavy workload,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention that PG Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Technology has already received grants to the extent of Rs 20 lac from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India under its FIST phase I programme, while the proposal for FIST phase II already stands submitted.
