According to the ATS statement on Sunday, the arrest was made in the Kokernag police station area on Friday, with assistance from the local police.

After completing the necessary court procedures in Jammu and Kashmir, the ATS team brought Dar to Lucknow on Saturday under transit remand. He was medically examined before being presented in court.

The arrest followed the recent apprehension of Ahmed Raza alias Sharukh, also associated with Hizbul Mujahideen, from Muilak Gudia village in Moradabad district.

During preliminary interrogation, it was discovered that Dar had summoned Raza to Anantnag for militancy training, leading to Raza’s involvement with Hizbul Mujahideen.

Based on this revelation, the ATS requested and was granted a 14-day police custody of Dar by the court, aiming to further investigate the matter.
