SRINAGAR
A laborer died when he came under a log of wood in Handwara forests last evening.
According to police spokesman, a laborer, Nizamudin Khatana son of Alamdin resident of Bahlipora Rajwar, Handwara came under a wooden log at Kumkadi forest and was seriously injured. He succumbed to his injuries on way to the Hospital. Handwara police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
