Ladakh Admin Assigns Additional Charge To Five Officers

   

SRINAGAR: The Ladakh Administration has assigned additional charges to three senior finance officers with immediate effect as part of a restructuring of financial responsibilities across various departments.

The orders were issued by the Finance Department under Order No. 443-F of 2026 dated August 12, following the functional assignment of Finance Officers to administrative departments through an earlier order issued on July 20.

Kaneez Fatima, Joint Director, has been assigned additional charge of Director, Accounts and Treasuries, along with the existing additional responsibilities of Deputy Excise Commissioner and Additional Commissioner, State Taxes.

Iftikhar Hussain, Joint Director and Chief Controller of Finance, LAHDC Kargil, has been given additional charge of Pay and Accounts Officer, Kargil, and Joint Director, Local Audit and Pensions.

Ajaz Hussain, Chief Accounts Officer, has been assigned responsibility for budget and establishment matters in the Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries. He has also been assigned Joint Director-level Finance Department responsibilities for financial scrutiny of the Forests, Ecology and Environment; Public Works (R and B/PMGSY); Labour and Employment; and Home and Vigilance departments.

The order also assigns additional responsibilities to Accounts Officer Sonam Chorol. She will take charge as Accounts Officer for the Forests, Ecology and Environment Department at the UT Secretariat, a responsibility previously held by Kaneez Fatima.

Chorol, who is Accounts Officer (Establishment) in the Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries, will also look after the financial matters of the Ladakh Skill Development Mission until further orders.

The Finance Department said the assignments had been made in the interest of administration and with the approval of the competent authority.
