SRINAGAR: The Ladakh administration has ordered the transfer and posting of 13 Junior Scale officers, including several recently promoted from Section Officer posts, with immediate effect.
The General Administration Department issued Order No. 407-LA (GAD) of 2026 on September 8, citing administrative requirements and the recent ad hoc promotion of officers from Section Officer to the Junior Scale.
Under the order, Anjil Singh, JKAS, has been transferred from Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nyoma, and posted as Assistant Director, Information, Leh. He will also hold the additional charge of District Social Welfare Officer, Leh, relieving Nilza Angmo, JKAS, of the charge until further orders.
Tsering Wangchuk, Block Development Officer (BDO), Kargil, has been transferred as BDO, Leh, relieving Tufail Iqbal, JKAS.
Tufail Iqbal will subsequently hold the charge of District Panchayat Officer (DPO), Leh, along with the additional charge of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Leh, until further orders.
Among the recently promoted officers, Asgar Ali has been posted as BDO, Sankoo; Phuntsok Angdu as BDO, Durbuk; and Jigjit Galpo as BDO, Thiksey.
Stanzin Lotus has been posted as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh, while Abass Ali has been appointed BDO, Shakar-Chiktan.
Mohd. Hassan has been posted as BDO, Kargil, replacing Tsering Angchuk.
Punchok Angchok has been posted as BDO, Khaltsi, with additional charge of BDO Skurbuchan and Singe Lalok.
The administration has also posted Haji Asgar Ali as Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives, Kargil, while Tahira Nasrin has been appointed Assistant Director, Employment, Kargil, against an available vacancy.
Chewang Rinchin (Angchuk) has been transferred from the General Administration Department and posted as Under Secretary to the Administration in the same department.
The order directs all concerned departments and offices to relieve the transferred officers forthwith so that they can join their new places of posting immediately.
