SRINAGAR: A Special Police Officer (SPO) died after accidentally falling from a walnut tree in his native village of Mundhkal, Pogal, in Ukhral tehsil of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as SPO Rahmatullah (Belt No. 707/SPO), son of Rustam Chopan and a resident of Mundhkal, Pogal. He was posted at SPO Post Kunda.
According to reports, Rahmatullah sustained critical injuries after falling from the tree and died on the spot.
The incident shocked his family and local residents.
The police expressed condolences to the bereaved family and conveyed solidarity with them following the untimely death of the SPO.
