SRINAGAR: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh on Thursday ordered the reallocation of additional departmental responsibilities among senior IAS officers following the relieving of Principal Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar from the UT administration.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department, the departments earlier held by Khirwar have been allocated to other officers with effect from the forenoon of January 9, 2026, in addition to their existing duties and until further orders.
Chief Secretary Ashish Kundra, IAS, has been assigned the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, while Laltinkhuma Franklin, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, has been given charge of the Health and Medical Education Department.
Administrative Secretary Rudra Goud PT, IAS, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of the Labour and Employment Department as well as the Science and Technology Department.
