Ladakh Administration Reconstitutes Police Subordinate Service Recruitment Board

   

SRINAGAR: The Ladakh Administration has reconstituted the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Board with a seven-member composition, according to an order issued by the Home Department on Friday.

The reconstitution has been approved through Order No. 83-Home of 2026, dated September 18, in partial modification of an earlier order issued on May 18, 2026.

DIG Ladakh-Kashmir Range (LKR) Koshal Kumar Sharma, IPS, has been appointed Chairman of the board, while Commandant of IR 25th Battalion Altaf Ahmad Shah, IPS, has been designated Member Secretary.

SSP Leh Fulzele Piyush Nirakar, IPS; SP District Kargil Nitin Yadav, IPS; and SP Traffic Ladakh Pawan Kumar, IPS, have been appointed members.

The board also includes DySP Headquarters Kargil Faraz Hussain Shah and DySP DAR Leh Padma Dorjey as members.

The administration said the existing terms and conditions governing the functioning of the board would remain unchanged.

It further ordered that Altaf Ahmad Shah will discharge the functions of chairman of the Ladakh Police (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Board until Koshal Kumar Sharma resumes his duties.
