Speaking to reporters, Gandhi emphasised that the local population is dissatisfied with their current status.

He stated, “There have been numerous complaints. The people are dissatisfied with the status accorded to them; they desire representation. There is widespread concern about unemployment and inflation.”

“People want the state to be governed by the voice of the people rather than by bureaucracy,” he added.

Gandhi also highlighted that the people of Ladakh are distressed by the loss of their grazing lands due to actions by China. He stated, “The primary concern is the land seized by China. The local population has been significantly impacted because their grazing lands have been taken away. There are reports of Chinese troops intruding and occupying their grazing lands, preventing locals from accessing them.”

Lastly, he contradicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertion that China has not encroached on Indian territory, deeming it untrue. (KNO).
