A great-grand mother believed to be the Kishtwar’s oldest woman died at the age of 112 on Sunday.
Zunnat Beguma Dev passed away early morning at his home Akhyarabad in the district Kishtwar.
Reports said that Zunnat was born on September 28, 1902. Hundreds of people participated in her funeral at Kishtwar Chowgan.
A political activist, she was once arrested by police for several months for spearheading the plebiscite movement after Sheikh Abdullah was arrested in 1953.
