One person died while eight persons were injured in different road accidents in the valley, police said on Sunday afternoon while a lady died when a tree fell on a temporary shed in Islamabad.
In Srinagar, a Tipper bearing registration number JKO1Q/8180 hit a motorcycle driven by Tasleem Mir son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Panzgam, Bandipora at Maloora Parimpora, resulting in his on spot death.
A Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-1353 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04A-3086 at Sonwar, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Qaisar Hussain resident of Kothipora Chatergam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A load carrier bearing registration number JK01W-1545 hit and injured a lady Haseena at Qamarwari, resulting in injuries to her. The injured shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
In Bandipora, a JCB driven by Muhammad Latief Bhat resident of S.K Bala met with an accident at Khan Mohalla Sumbal, resulting in injuries to the driver. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
In Handwara, a Sumo bearing registration number JKO9/3727 driven by Ghulam Muhammad Malik resident of Waisa Kawnar hit a child Khalid Nasir resident of Palpora at Chowk Magam. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Handwara for treatment.
An unknown tractor collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number HR05W-1878 near Ganipora, resulting in injuries to Ashiq Hussain Shah, Liyakat Rashid and Farooq Ahmad residents of Vilgam. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Handwara for treatment.
In Kupwara, a Tata sumo bearing registration number JK03-8768 hit and injured a minor girl Insha resident of Takiya Wogora, Baramulla near B-Ed College Drugmulla. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment.
A dried pine tree fell on the temporary shed of Rafiq Ahmad Khan at Bohak Gogaldoora Hapatnad Ashmuqam in Islamabad district, resulting in on spot death of his wife Sahiba Jan. after completing of all legal formalities, the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
