SRINAGAR: Several residential houses and shops were damaged after they were hit by a massive landslide on Friday in Bonibagh village of Kangan central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to locals, the landslide occurred on Friday resulting in damage to several residential houses and Shops in Bonibagh village of Kangan.
They said that the landslide has also blocked the Srinagar-Ladakh highway.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kangan, Hakim Tanvir said that landslide occurred on today morning resulting in damage to several residential houses and shops in the area.
He said that fortunately there was no loss of life in the incident.
“Men and machinery have been pressed into service to clear the debris. Srinagar-Leh highway will be thrown open shortly,” Hakim Tahir said.
