Landslides on the other side of Line of Control (LoC) resulted in suspension of ‘Karvan-e-Aman’ bus service on Monday.
Rains lashed Kashmir from both sides of LoC for last few days. The incessant rains had resulted in communication breakdown in Uri and many areas remained cut off while several families were shifted to safer places as well.
Started in 2005 as a Confidence Building Measure (CBM), ‘Karvan-e-Aman’ bus crosses LoC at Uri point every Monday and Thursday.
Reports said that rains triggered landslides on other side of LoC at Hatya Bala, Chinar Chakoti, Kohala areas thus bus service was temporarily suspended today.
