The State Government Sunday said it released Rs 458.11 crore for electronic disbursement to owners of flood damaged houses, under the Prime Minister’s Development Plan-2015 (PMDP), as per following details:

Srinagar district Rs 234.16 crore; Samba district Rs 2.35 crore; Ganderbal district Rs 0.81 crore; Budgam district Rs 39.12 crore; Pulwama district Rs 28.87 crore; Islamabad district Rs 48.94 crore; Bandipora district Rs 17.16 crore; Baramulla district Rs 17.61 crore; Rajouri district Rs 22.63 crore; Udhampur district Rs 6.97 crore; Ramban district Rs 7.53 crore; Kishtwar district Rs 2.38 crore; Doda district Rs 3.03 crore; Shopian district Rs 7.27 crore; Kupwara district Rs 0.20 crore; and Kulgam district Rs 19.08 crore, an official spokesperson said late this evening.

The financial assistance is being transferred directly by the respective Deputy Commissioners into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The Raj Bhawan spokesperson recalled that in the State Administrative Council meeting chaired by Governor on 25-02-2016 it had been decided to grant financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s Development Plan-2015 at the scale of Rs 2.50 lac for fully damaged pucca house, Rs 1.25 lac for severely damaged pucca house, Rs 1.00 lac for fully damaged kacha house, Rs 0.50 lac for severely damaged kacha house, Rs 0.20 lac for partially damaged pucca house and Rs 0.10 lac for partially damaged kacha house. The Governor has directed that the entire amount of Rs 418.67 crore must be transferred to beneficiaries within 7 days, the spokesperson said.
