Unknown gun men late Sunday evening opened fire on a civilian in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police sources said that a civilian, identified as Jahangir Mohammad Dar was attacked by car-borne unknown gun men at Karimabad village of Pulwama around 8:o0 PM.

The bullets hit Jahangir’s both legs and he was rushed to Srinagar for treatment.

Police sources said forces have launched a search operation in the area.

The youth identified as Jahangir Ahmad, 26, son of Ali Mohammad of Karimabad village, about four kilometers from Pulwama town, was shot at in his legs near the village.
Bhat was referred to District Hospital Pulwama, where doctors after providing first aid referred him to Bones and Joints hospital in Srinagar for further treatment.
“The youth has received three gunshot wounds in his legs. He was referred to Bones and Joints hospital,” doctors in Pulwama hospital told KNS over phone.
Police sources said that the youth was shot at by unidentified car-borne gunmen in the village around 8:oo pm.
