Holding “Indian agents and counter insurgent Special Operation Group” directly responsible for the “killing of trio in Pattan”, militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Tuesday said, “government agencies have been intentionally giving hype to non-existent Lashkar-e-Islam so as to give an impression that internal feud resulted into the death of these three youth.”

“All the three martyrs Amir Reshi, Ashiq Ahmed and Naveed were affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen. They had recently joined the outfit. The paid agents of India and counter insurgent SOG are responsible for the cold blooded murder of these militants. The trio was active and they were tortured and subsequently killed in custody. It was a sheepish act of the enemy that depicts their frustration,” Hizb spokesperson Salim Hashmi while quoting outfit chief Syed Salahuddin said.

In a statement to CNS, Hashmi said, “while addressing Hizb Command Council, Salahuddin said that Lashkar-e-Islami has no existence.” “By spreading a word that Hizb and Lashkar-e-Islami are at loggerheads, State Government and its agencies want to mislead people and these agencies can’t deceive people,” he said.

Syed Salahuddin, according to the statement, said, “by killing militants in custody the Indian forces and agents can’t weaken this ongoing freedom struggle.” “The sacred blood of the martyrs will show its colour one day and nobody can save the ‘killers’ and their collaborators from their dreaded end.”

During the meeting, Hizb Deputy Chief Saifullah Khalid “while paying rich tribute to these three slain youth” said, “anti-movement elements will have to pay a price for these acts.”

Hizb expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and supported the strike call given by Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani.
