Department of Law and Parliamentary Affairs had accorded promotion to several officers in the department which were pending for the last 15-years.
Talking to a local news agency, KNS the Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah said, “The promotions were pending for the last 15 years and the officers were worried. We have accorded sanction for 31 promotions today. Next month we will promote others whose promotions are due.”
“The promoted officers include secretaries, additional secretaries and under secretaries,” he said.
The Minister said that due to the lack of infrastructure and manpower in courts, thousands of cases are pending. “In coming months we will start work on it and ensure that proper infrastructure and manpower is provided so that the courts can deliver justice on time,” he told KNS.
