SRINAGAR: A Leh-bound IndiGo flight was forced to return to Delhi on Thursday morning due to a technical issue, airline officials confirmed. The Airbus A320, operating as flight 6E 2006 from Delhi to Leh, had been airborne for over two hours before the decision was made to head back to the national capital.
According to IndiGo, the technical problem led to operational restrictions that prevented the aircraft from landing in Leh. In line with established safety procedures, the pilot opted to return to Delhi. The airline stated that the affected aircraft is currently undergoing necessary maintenance before it resumes operations.
Reports suggest that an alternative aircraft has been arranged to fly the customers to Leh. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers and remain committed to the safety and security of our customers and crew
No injuries or emergencies were reported during the IndiGo flight’s return, and all safety protocols were followed as per standard aviation procedures
