SRINAGAR: A massive landslide disrupts traffic Movement on 434 KM long Srinagar-Leh highway since last evening.
A traffic police official said that landslide occurred at India Gate Zojila along Sgr-Leh highway due to which the road remained blocked since yesterday 7 Pm
He said that the highway was completely blocked by the landslide, as a result, vehicles remained stranded on both sides of the road.
Officials said the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) immediately pressed into service sophisticated machines and men to put through the traffic.
DySP traffic Faheem Ali told Kashmir Life that traffic was suspended on Monday at around 6:50 Pm after massive Landslides hit Zojila Pass near India Gate.
Meanwhile, dozens of Drivers stranded on the highway said that a large number of light motor vehicles and trucks have been stranded on both sides of Zojila Pass due to the landslides.
