The Principal District & Session Judge Leh, Sanjay Parihar, has convicted two accused , Gajinder Kumar Khatri and Parmod Budka Thoki who were accused of committing murder of two monks, Lama Nawang Tsultim and Lama Stanzin Gelek during the intervening night of August 3rd and 4th, 2007 and had decamped with cash of  Rs. 62,000, mobile phones and other belongings.  The accused have been sentenced to rigorous  life imprisonment and fine of Rs 10000.

According to local news agency KIP, the accused were tried for offenses under Section 302, 392 RPC in FIR No. 181/2007 of police station Leh and found guilty.
